In addition to our huge array of commercially available items, we offer endless options of bespoke doors. Whether you require expert advice on our custom designs, or have a unique style of your own, we can manufacture any type of door in any size; External, Internal, or Certified FD30 & FD60 Fire doors (BWF Certifire / BS476 Part 22 1987)
Timber Type & Design:
If you see an “engineered” style on another part of our site, and your resources allow for more traditional hand crafted Solid Timber doors, we can make them in almost any type of wood. Some of our most popular timbers include: - Walnut, Oak, Sapele-Mahogany, Yellow Pine, & Emery. Only the best grades of timbers are used, sourced from as far a field as the U.S and Scandinavia .
If contemporary veneered doors are desired, these again are available in many different timber options, which include obscure timbers such as: - Wengue, White Beech and Crown Cut Maple.
Craftsmanship & Construction:
Our solid doors are made with traditional Mortice & Tennon / Stub Tennon joints. Any style can be made to any specification. When appropriate, we can even manufacture panels with mdf inserts for added stability.
Custom veneered doors are made with a solid core, and again only the top quality select veneers are laid.
Door Finish:
Our Bespoke doors are supplied unfinished but sanded to the highest standard in preparation for immediate finishing.
On request we can pre-finish any custom interior door with a hardwearing clear lacquer; this will enhance the natural grain of the wood, and can be applied in 20%-40% sheen, dependant on choice.
Pre-Hung Door Sets (Block Sets):
One massive advantage of our bespoke range, is that any door can be “Pre-Hung”, that is pre-cut and fit with hinges, latches, locks etc. and supplied in the correct frame or lining ready for on site fitting. This can dramatically reduce labour charges and fitting rates.
A recent addition to our selection are External pre-hung sets, which are supplied in a choice of external grade timbers, unfinished and suitable for staining, varnishing or painting.
